4 Training Levels
Each level is designed to build confidence and consistency in water shooting, from the basics to professional production standards.
Level 1 — Fundamentals (Getting Started)
For photographers new to shooting in the water or new to housings.
You’ll learn:

Housing basics (types, compatibility, ports and key components)

O-rings, seals, maintenance and the pre-water checklist

Safe entry/exit, positioning fundamentals and basic ocean awareness

Camera settings baseline for surf action (exposure, AF, burst strategy)
Outcome: You can prepare your housing safely and capture consistent, usable images in manageable conditions.
Level 2 — Technique & Consistency (In-Water Skills)
For those who can shoot in the water but want more reliability and better results.
You’ll learn:

Reading conditions, sets and takeoff zones

Distance, angles and framing for stronger composition

Timing strategy: when to shoot vs when to hold

Troubleshooting common issues (fogging, droplets, missed focus)
Outcome: You produce a higher hit-rate of sharp, well-timed images with a repeatable process.
Level 3 — Professional Workflow (Clients & Delivery)
For photographers working with surf schools, athletes, brands or events.
You’ll learn:

Editing approach for clean, professional delivery

Export and delivery structure (web/social-ready output)
